Our Story Baking for Our Community

Our Toowoomba family owned bakery brings over 80 years of expertise in specialist baking. With a team of master bakers, we use only traditional craft methods and family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Packed with nutritious real ingredients from Australian growers, we are dedicated to purchasing local wherever possible. As a result, our flour comes from wheat grown locally on the Darling Downs whenever possible and due to growing conditions. Our vegetables are sourced from our region’s food bowls. Passionate about the wellbeing and good health of families, we ensure you receive only the purest of ingredients, proudly bringing quality delicious foods to your table that will tempt the fussiest of eaters.

History

In 1989 an existing Toowoomba business, “Wayne Middleton Bakery”, was acquired by Vyv Pascoe and his partner, Kerry Pugh as a first step in building a successful bakery. It was called Pascoe Pugh Bakeries. In October 1992, “David’s Bakery‟ in Brisbane was acquired to support the expansion of the original business. In September 1995 these two bakeries were consolidated and relocated to the current Toowoomba location to provide premises to facilitate the continued growth and development of the business. The business name was later changed to Homestyle Bakeries Pty Ltd.

The philosophies and practices initially established by Vyv and Kerry towards trade and supply expectations has led Homestyle Bake to much of its ongoing success and are still foundations of how we conduct business today. These philosophies hold Homestyle Bake in high regard with customers and our suppliers.
